An 8 ×10 commemorative print created to support the JTN Legacy Foundation which supports families in need by ensuring that they can cover the costs of food and gifts during the holiday season. A portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the foundation in honor of Joel Noennig who left a legacy of faith, service and kindness by supporting acts of kindness and generosity within the Minnesota community where he lived.

As artist and cousin to Joel, I was asked to capture a Bethlehem scene of Christmas which also included angels and rainbows in his memory. After Joel’s passing, his family witnessed an unusual number of rainbows and eagles, each a comforting reminder of Joel and of God’s promise for him.

This painting represents this vision: God directing His angels to place a bow of rainbow light across the night sky over Bethlehem, announcing that Jesus was born and fulfills eternal hope. The rainbow hues also evoke the northern lights, another expression of God’s artistry in the night skies. Look closely to see the village of Bethlehem nestled beneath the vast presence of the angels above.
